Staff said plans are to submit final plans to the Department of Health by the end of August and pursue bids in the fall for potential winter construction. For Rosendale Road, staff said the county plans to raise the road grade 5–7 feet to reduce flooding risk, meaning the town should coordinate water-main replacement to occur concurrently in summer 2027 so the new main will not be left deeply buried below the rebuilt grade.
Committee members discussed financing and grant options and the need to assemble final financing before going to bid.
