Engineering staff presented department priorities for 2025 including two prioritized water-system reconstruction projects, development of a private water service relocation policy, an informal bidding policy, and a staff-transition plan. Presenter said staff will complete greenhouse-gas analysis next year and continue work on Telstra/GIS and ERP replacement.
Chris (technical services) summarized the state requirement for cross-connection control, explaining the district must develop a plan and "the district is gonna have to have a cross connection specialist on staff, which we have 3 certified already, to handle any sort of, reports of, water quality issues." He said the plan will require a full-scale analysis of users and will be a significant undertaking for the district.
