Board accepts resignation of Zone 2 member; Chair requests annual staff-to-student ratio report
Summary
Board member Jon Remy resigned effective immediately; the Board will open applications in March, interview in April, and seat a replacement in May. Chair Brett Stegall also requested a yearly staff-to-student ratio report covering a 5–10 year timeframe to be provided at the March meeting.
Superintendent Darin Drill informed the Board that he received a resignation letter from Board Member Jon Remy effective immediately. The Board agreed to open the Zone 2 vacancy for applications in March, schedule interviews tentatively for April, and announce and seat a new board member at the May meeting.
At the start of the meeting, Board Chair Brett Stegall requested a formal annual report be submitted each January detailing staff-to-student ratios, preferably covering a 5–10 year timeframe. Superintendent Drill said he would look into adding this request to the annual list and provide the report at the March meeting.
Drill also reminded Board members that the Statement of Economic Interest filing window opens March 15 and that filing by all board members is required.
