Emergency Manager Tonde9 Christian reported to the Board that FEMA rejected Texas County's Hazard Mitigation Plan because the Town of Goodwell's ordinances were not included. Christian said the missing ordinances have been obtained and the county will resubmit the plan this week.
Christian also alerted the board to expected hot, dry weather, saying, "It is going to be very hot and dry all week." Those weather conditions were discussed in the context of wildfire risk and the later board action to renew a burn ban covering the county.
