The Tahoe City Public Utility District honored Utilities Director Tony Lawless on Nov. 15 with a resolution recognizing 25 years of service. Board members and staff read the resolution recounting Tony’s tenure, including leadership on capital projects, technology adoption (AMI/AMR metering and GIS mapping), the temporary water treatment plant and the West Lake Tahoe Regional Water Treatment Plant.
Colleagues and community members offered personal remarks and anecdotes. The board moved and seconded a resolution of appreciation; the vote was recorded and the resolution passed unanimously. Staff announced a celebration planned in the coming days.
Lawless thanked the board, staff and family for their support, cited the importance of staff and the community and reflected on the district’s progress and institutional continuity during his tenure.
