Board authorizes reduced senior days and approves Falcon Heights instructional-time waiver

The Klamath County School District Board on Aug. 15 authorized reductions in some seniors’ schedules when requested and consistent with OAR 581-022-2320 and SB 819, and approved an instructional-time waiver for Falcon Heights Alternative School under ORS 581-022-2320.
Jeff Bullock described the routine annual requests and provided attachments in the board packet. Jill O'Donnell moved to authorize reduced senior days; the motion was seconded by Marc Staunton and passed 5–0. Separately, the board approved the Falcon Heights time-waiver motion, also on a 5–0 vote.
Both items were presented as recurring requests with documentation in the packet; staff will apply the waivers and schedule reductions in individual cases consistent with the cited Oregon administrative rules and statute.
