Superintendent Glen Szymoniak told trustees the training is compulsory: "yes, it is absolutely mandatory," he said during the meeting.
The updated procedure will be attached to the board packet and posted on the district website; administrators have been directed to share and use the policy consistently with staff, students and parents. Board member Marc Staunton requested a mid‑year report to assess whether the procedure reduces student conflicts.
