Council approves consolidated list of library titles; district will include multiple ISBNs and preorders

With the floor open for discussion, chair Rachel Pokorny called the vote to approve the consolidated district list of titles. Members voted and the motion passed; staff said the list had been consolidated to remove duplicates and divided by elementary, junior high, and high school so purchases align with campus needs. "All those in favor of approving the list, say yes," the chair said as members voted aloud.
Members asked whether multiple versions and bindings would be included; district staff confirmed every ISBN will be covered so the same title will not continually reappear on subsequent lists when vendors publish different bindings. Staff also noted some titles are preorders and can be purchased as soon as they are published.
