The Klamath County School District Board voted Aug. 15 to approve Resolution 25-02, authorizing the use of the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) procurement method for the Chiloquin Elementary School seismic rehabilitation project.
Director of Business Services Janet Melsness presented the resolution and supporting documents to the Local Contract Review Board before the regular meeting reconvened. Jill O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution 25-02 and John Rademacher seconded; the motion passed unanimously, 5–0.
The resolution will permit the district to pursue the CM/GC method, which the board was told is intended to streamline coordination for a seismic rehabilitation project. Staff provided supporting documents in the board packet; the next steps are to advertise the CM/GC opportunity and begin contractor selection under the approved procurement method.
