The Klamath County School District Board of Directors voted unanimously Aug. 15 to approve the district's property and casualty insurance for fiscal year 2024–25 following a presentation by Great Basin Insurance.
Bill Gilmore of Great Basin Insurance reviewed the proposed coverage and an attached invoice explanation that the board packet included. John Rademacher moved to approve the coverage “as presented for fiscal year 2024–25”; the motion was seconded by Jill O'Donnell and passed 5–0.
Director of Business Services Janet Melsness had earlier described the insurance details to the board and the materials were retained in the meeting packet for reference. The approval will allow staff to finalize carrier arrangements and premium payments for the coming school year.
