Cherryland principal: construction nearly done, new staff and homework lab coming

Cherryland Middle School Principal Josh Haggerty told the Elk Rapids School Board that building construction is “nearing an end” and highlighted newly installed bleachers, connected hallways and updated locker rooms and flooring.
Haggerty introduced new staff — Melissa Cisneros (teacher), Jesse Kramer (teacher/interventionist) and Ashley Gee (office assistant) — and thanked the chaperones who accompanied students to Washington, D.C. He said the pilot math curriculum from the prior year had been successful and that a homework lab for students would be available by the end of September.
Board members received the report as part of the regular meeting presentations; no board action was required.
