Athletic director Mister Hedrick told the board Cascade has strong extracurricular participation and urged the district to develop a comprehensive facility plan tied to any future bond.
"We have over 250 kids right now participating in extracurricular activities, mainly sports... So it's about 300 kids that are doing stuff after school," Hedrick said, highlighting strong GPAs and state placings among teams. He asked the board to convene a group to plan outside facilities strategically if bond funding becomes available. Hedrick also noted girls flag football fields 11 players in a 7‑on‑7 format and the team has already won its first game.
