Finance Director William presented the district's financial position as of February 2026, telling the board: "The total revenue is at 72% of the budget," and that state revenue is tracking at about 67% of budget. He said expenditures are being managed and the district expects an ending fund balance near $2.2 million compared with the budgeted $2.4 million.
Board members asked whether the district is drawing on reserves and how much of the gap is being covered by PERS reserves; William said the $2.0 million plus difference would come from previously saved reserve funds and that management is reviewing position savings to reduce the spending rate next year. The board discussed spot-checking vendor insurance certificates and directed staff to continue monitoring the carryover and payroll timing through June.
