The Nevis Public School District board approved a contract with AFSCME Local 2768 covering 2025–2027 after a roll-call vote at its Aug. 25 meeting. The agreement provides 3% salary increases for 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 and includes negotiated language changes the board said clarify working conditions.
The motion to ratify the AFSCME agreement was made by Ben Hass and seconded by Aimee Plumley. On the roll-call vote Superintendent minutes record that Dave McGee abstained while other members voted in favor. The board noted the contract terms alongside other labor agreements approved at the meeting.
