Director John Nelson moved multiple OSBA-related amendments; the board voted to approve an amendment relating to the PRIDE caucus and an amendment to OSBA's 2023 bylaws. Votes on those motions passed unanimously. A separate motion to amend the OSBA dues schedule failed: three directors (Nelson, Aparicio, Lopez) voted yes while Directors Dayna Wynn-Elledge and Judy Richardson recorded abstentions.
The board also approved a Cooperative Sports Agreement with Dufur School District covering boys' and girls' wrestling. The cooperative-agreement motion was made by Director Nelson, seconded by Director Lopez, and passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting the consent agenda was approved by unanimous vote (motion by Director Nelson, seconded by Director Lopez). Several policy changes were presented for first reading with no action requested at this meeting, including updates to family leave, admissions and nondiscrimination policies.
