Fairfax County hosts intergenerational "Cooking 101" online workshop

Fairfax County Area Agency on Aging held an intergenerational online "Cooking 101" session featuring Jennifer Mertz of Sticky Fingers Cooking, who demonstrated a savory cauliflower kugel, an Israeli chopped salad and a traditional Israeli-style chocolate milk called Shoko Beisakit. The session was recorded and will be available for 30 days, and organizers asked attendees to use the Zoom Q&A for questions and to complete a post-class survey to help plan future programs.
"My name is Tammy Cave, and I am a caregiver specialist on the caregiver and support services unit with the Fairfax County Area Agency on Aging," Tammy Cave said when opening the class, explaining logistics and how to participate. Tammy closed by announcing the next intergenerational workshop, a self-defense session for families on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
