Superintendent Aaron Duff provided the monthly enrollment update and a facilities status report at the April 13 board meeting.
Duff reported monthly enrollment at 1,541 students, unchanged from the previous month. He said spring facilities work is in full swing—fields and school yards are being mowed and sprayed, sprinklers are being cleaned for the irrigation season—and that summer projects emphasizing safety are being planned and will be presented to the board in May.
Duff also reminded board members that Oregon Ethics Commission filings were due April 15 and asked those needing assistance to contact Janet Millar. He announced two budget hearings: the first budget hearing on Monday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. and a second budget hearing on Monday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m., both at Freewater School.
