The Milton-Freewater Unified School District board unanimously approved acceptance of a State of Oregon Student Success SIA grant totaling $3,445,735 covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
Superintendent Aaron Duff presented the grant to the board and noted the grant period and total award. Board member Claudia Limon moved to accept the grant, and the motion passed with a unanimous vote. The board did not record further public comment on the award during the meeting.
The grant was recorded on the consent and action portion of the Nov. 17 meeting agenda. The district’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Jan. 12, 2026, where any implementation steps or required budget amendments related to the grant may be discussed further.
