During the latter part of the meeting the board moved through routine business and several formal votes.
The board approved the consent agenda by voice vote (recorded as passing 6–0). Trustees then approved hires, accepted resignations and authorized administrator contracts as recommended from closed session; each motion passed by voice vote with no opposition. Byron Bryant recommended continuing with Rutherford Taylor & Company as the district’s auditors. "We recommend moving forward with them at a price of 45,975," Bryant said, and trustees approved the engagement.
The board also certified two unopposed candidates for the May 3, 2025 election (Place 6 and Place 7 as transcribed) and approved an order cancelling the election because those candidates were unopposed—board members noted the cancellation saves the district administrative and ballot costs.
Motions were moved and seconded on the record (examples in transcript: "Motion from Eric," "2nd from Jessica"); the clerk recorded each final voice vote as passing unanimously (6–0). No contested elections or defeated motions were recorded during this meeting.
