Royse City ISD honors students across band, choir, athletics and cheer

"We currently have 234 students signed up for high school band next year," Webb said, and he noted the program’s growth will keep recruitment active over the summer.
Nathan White, director of choral activities, announced that Zayden Smith performed with the Texas Music Educators Association All‑State Tenor‑Bass Choir in San Antonio on Feb. 15 after a multi‑stage statewide audition process. Coaches also recognized students named to THSCA Academic All‑State and the Texas Girls Coaches Association elite lists; Coach Snow described the nomination matrix (GPA, class rank, ACT/SAT) and praised the family and support behind each honoree.
Coaches and trustees repeatedly framed the recognitions as reflections of long hours and support from educators and families. Trustees urged community members to celebrate the students and thanked teachers and coaches for mentorship.
