Royse City ISD named a CTE District of Distinction

Royse City ISD announced at the board meeting that the district’s career and technical education (CTE) program earned a CTE District of Distinction award, placing RCISD among the state’s high-performing districts.
Speaking to trustees, the district’s CTE director said, "Royce City ISD is proud to announce that we were selected as a CTE district of distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas." The presentation included a short video and public recognition of teachers and instructional coach Lauren Jones.
Board members praised the program as a model for workforce readiness, and the board recognized the contributions of administrators and teachers who support CTE programming. The district noted the recognition highlights work to expand career pathways and hands-on skills that prepare students for both college and careers.
