Board approves resignations, multiple hires and after-school staff lists

At the Aug. 28 meeting the board accepted resignations, approved new paraprofessionals and parent educator hires, and confirmed after-school paraprofessionals, tutors and coordinators for each attendance center for 2025-26.
The board accepted resignations including Heather Taylor (Birth to 3 Parent Educator at Parrish School, effective July 25, 2025) and approved employment actions across classified and certified staff. Motions carried unanimously by roll call and voice votes where noted.
Approved hires include paraprofessionals Erin Jackson, Agent Inman, DeAndre James and Nicole Cowan; Kristin Clark as a Birth to 3 Parent Educator (retroactive to Aug. 28, 2025, pending clear CBI); multiple after-school paraprofessionals at Parrish, Thomas, Lewis and Carbondale Middle School; and certified after-school tutors and coordinators for each site. The board also added Joseph Anderson to the classified substitute list retroactive to Aug. 18, 2025.
