Board honors Measure CK oversight committee and spotlights Mint Canyon Community School

Superintendent and trustees recognized Measure CK Citizens Bond Oversight Committee members for stewardship of 2012 bond funds that upgraded facilities across nine schools; Mint Canyon principal presented a site update and staff and employees received certificates of recognition.
The Board formally recognized members of the Measure CK Citizens Bond Oversight Committee, thanking them for oversight of bond projects passed in 2012 that funded facility upgrades, new classroom construction at Valley View, Sulphur Springs and Pinetree Community Schools, HVAC replacements and expanded technology and science labs across the district. Superintendent Catherine Kawaguchi and trustees presented plaques and certificates to committee members Scott Goodspeed, Dr. Kerry Clegg (via Zoom), Joe Gomez, Emily Jones and Courtney Celestin.
Principal Paulette Volmer then presented a site report on Mint Canyon Community School highlighting student and staff activities. The Board also presented certificated and classified employee recognition certificates to Cheryl Fordyce, Leslie Pearson, Aimee Virani and Jackie Charrow. Trustees recessed at 7:43 PM and reconvened at 7:45 PM for the remainder of the agenda.
