Board receives audits for earlier years, schedules earlier budget meeting

Director of Finance Devin Collins said the district received audit reports for 2021–22 and 2022–23 and is still awaiting the 2023–24 audit; auditors were given until January 2025 to complete that work. Collins said an RFP is out to rotate auditors as best practice every three years. The board later approved the 2025–26 budget calendar and scheduled a budget meeting for May 7, 2025, one month earlier than in prior years.
Collins did not present dollar figures tied to new budget decisions at the meeting; the approval recorded was for the calendar schedule rather than specific appropriations.
