Superintendent Tim Crider told the board that the 2026–27 budget process is underway and that Budget Committee meetings are scheduled for May 12 and, if necessary, May 19 at the Technology Building. The proposed budget is expected to come to the board for adoption on June 8.
Board Chair Nathan McClintock read an announcement that Position 2 on the North Bend School District Budget Committee is open; the position’s term expires June 30, 2026 and is currently held by Jeff Bridgens. The board said it will appoint a new budget committee member during the next budget cycle because board policy does not allow an immediate appointment at this meeting.
The district also posted April 2026 enrollment numbers and the district check register for public review.
