The North Bend School District Board approved a set of caps for nonresident student admissions for the 2026–27 school year, listing an allocation by grade that will govern interdistrict transfers.
Director Michelle Roberts moved that the district accept the following number of nonresident students who apply: Kindergarten 25; First Grade 3; Second Grade 15; Third Grade 10; Fourth Grade 12; Fifth Grade 5; Sixth Grade 6; Seventh Grade 16; Eighth Grade 20; Ninth Grade 10; Tenth Grade 20; Eleventh Grade 20; Twelfth Grade 20. Director DeAnne Wiedenmann seconded the motion and the board approved it 7-0.
The vote establishes the district’s nonresident admission caps for the coming school year; the district did not provide a waitlist policy or tie the caps to specific staffing or budget adjustments during the meeting.
