Board accepts two grants to support art program and weight room equipment

The Milton-Freewater Unified School District 7 board voted unanimously Jan. 12 to accept two grants presented by Superintendent Aaron Duff. The Art Walla Walla ABC Grant of $1,000 was awarded to Lynne Burnham for the Central Art Program, and an Oregon Community Foundation Advised Fund Grant of $2,500 was presented for weight room equipment. Vince Ruzicka moved to accept both grants; Kathy Silva seconded the motion and the board approved the grants unanimously.
The grants are designated by donor and intended use as stated at the meeting. The board did not record additional debate or public comment on the grants during the meeting.
