Royse City ISD swears in Cindy Jobe; board completes annual reorganization

The board then completed its annual reorganization. The board temporarily disbanded the current executive committee and appointed Superintendent Dr. Anderson as temporary chair to facilitate nominations and votes. Nominations were received for president (a nomination for "Scott" was made), vice president (Mike Anderson was nominated and approved), and secretary (Bobby Summers was nominated in absentia). All procedural motions to set officers passed on recorded voice votes of 5-0.
The reorganization is part of the board—alendar each summer. Trustees said the changes reflect continuity in governance ahead of the coming school year; the board returned the chairmanship to the newly elected president after the votes. No substantive policy changes were enacted as part of the reorganization.
