Royse City ISD presents classroom AV upgrades, cell boosters and cybersecurity gains

The district’s technology lead presented this year’s accomplishments and near‑term plans funded in part by bond projects. Projects completed include classroom interactive panel installations, voice‑amplification systems, a Bailey cafeteria AV replacement, and the installation of cell boosters at Glenda Arnold campus to remedy poor cellular reception and to support panic‑button apps used for safety protocols.
The technology team also reported process improvements: implementation of Securly for 24‑hour monitoring of student online activity and ClassLink single sign‑on for students and staff, migration to the state ED reporting system for PEIMS, and tabletop exercises to improve incident response. The team said wireless infrastructure will be installed for Moss Elementary in the coming weeks and that the phone system replacement is a major upcoming project. The presenter noted the district expects annual savings of about $200,000 from bringing substitute placement in‑house while paying higher substitute rates.
