Royse City ISD introduces three administrative hires including two high‑school principals

The Royse City ISD Board of Trustees approved hires reported from closed session and heard introductions of three new administrators. The board voted 6-0 to approve the personnel actions presented from closed session; the motion to approve hires was made "from Eric" and seconded by "Bobby," and the board then heard presentations introducing the new leaders.

Administration introduced Melissa Harvey as principal of Worthy Fate High School, highlighting her 22 years in education and prior work as a principal and associate principal. "We are thrilled to announce Melissa Harvey as the new principal of Worthy Fate High School," a district presenter said. Harvey thanked the board and introduced family members in the audience.

Scott Mary was introduced as principal of Royse City High School; the presentation noted 21 years of experience in education and roles in curriculum and instruction, and Mary addressed the board and community. Amanda Payne was introduced as director of early childhood services for Royse City ISD, with 27 years in education and several years of principal experience in Rockwall ISD; Payne explained her commitment to early childhood programs and acknowledged family and colleagues at the meeting.

Board members and administrators framed the hires as strategic for a district experiencing growth and opening new campuses. The introductions closed with thanks to families and a reminder that the hires will be formally onboarded as the district readies new facilities.
