Board approves Tentative Agreement with Classified School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter #298 including 1% ongoing raise and 1% one-time payment

Assistant Superintendent Jay Greenlinger presented the Tentative Agreement between Sulphur Springs Union School District and the Classified School Employees Association Chapter #298 on Feb. 12. Greenlinger said the agreement "includes an ongoing salary increase of 1% on-schedule, effective July 1, 2024, and a 1% one-time off-schedule payment, based on September 25, 2024 salary schedule." The board voted to approve the agreement by a 5-0 voice vote (DeFigueiredo, Weinstein, Chase, MacDonald, Jellings).
The hearing on the Tentative Agreement was opened and closed with no public comment during the meeting. The agreement was presented alongside related salary-schedule approvals for confidential and unrepresented certificated employees, which the board also approved with the same percentage adjustments during the Feb. 12 meeting.
