EFI Global representatives briefed the Sulphur Springs Union School District Board on a draft Preliminary Environmental Assessment-Equivalent (PEA-E) for the proposed Skyline Ranch school site on Feb. 12. Daniel Jablonski, senior project manager, told the Board the investigation sampled soil and assessed historical undocumented fill and naturally occurring materials and concluded there were "no unacceptable human health risks identified." The draft has been submitted to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) for review and approval and is available for public review at the District office and the Canyon Country JoAnne Darcy Public Library.
Board President Denis DeFigueiredo opened a public hearing at 7:56 PM for members of the public to comment on the PEA-E; with no written or verbal comments received the hearing closed at 7:57 PM. The board's receipt of the draft and the lack of public input will be part of the administrative record forwarded to DTSC as the agency completes its review.
