Council approves lease extension for American Legion Great Bridge Post 280

"On behalf of American Legion Post 280, I would like to thank you for this opportunity to address you in the matter of our lease extension," he said, urging council to favorably consider the request so the post could continue its community work. After a brief council discussion recognizing the post's contributions — including support for a state championship baseball team — council approved the resolution by a 9-0 vote.
The approval was taken by motion, second, and recorded vote; no amendments were made on the council floor. The resolution directs the city manager to execute the lease extension agreement and allows Post 280 to continue negotiations with staff on the proposed lease terms.
