Board approves Helix athletic coop for baseball/softball and declares surplus equipment

The Milton-Freewater board approved an athletic cooperative agreement with Helix School District for the 2025–26 baseball and softball season and unanimously approved declaring a variety of district equipment as surplus.
Superintendent Aaron Duff presented the athletic coop and a detailed surplus list that included welders, a milk cooler, rollup doors, cases of 24x24x2 air filters and retired portable bleachers (missing wood). Don (Donald) Miller moved to approve the athletic coop application; Kelly Kessler seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Kathy Silva moved to approve the surplus list; Vince Ruzicka seconded and the board approved those items unanimously.
