Superintendent Kevin presented a grant from the Wild Horse Foundation to cover student costs for a Central Middle School field trip to interpretive centers and museums in the gorge. "If you, have a grant here, and that's from Wild Horse Foundation for $1,208," he said, recommending approval to avoid students having to pay entrance fees.
The board moved, seconded and approved the grant after brief discussion of logistics; Chair called for the ayes and declared the motion carried. The superintendent said the district covers the bus while the grant is intended to cover entry fees so students do not pay out of pocket.
The board did not request further conditions and staff will proceed with field-trip arrangements and required approvals.
