Mount Hope approves small road contract amendments for Pine Grove and Bendigo sections

The Town Board voted to amend a February agreement with the highway superintendent to include two short paving sections: a 0.17-mile stretch of Pine Grove Road (cost not to exceed $31,050) and a 0.09-mile section commencing at Bendigo Road (cost not to exceed $17,250). The board said neighboring towns will assist on the work so Mount Hope would primarily pay for tack coat and blacktop.
Supervisor Ricard described the town's approach of using other towns' crews to reduce costs and called for the motion to add the sections and funding limits; the motion was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
