Following an executive session, the Spring Branch ISD Board of Trustees approved multiple personnel items recommended by the Superintendent and authorized the Superintendent to execute contracts for employees accepting offers for the 2026–2027 school year. The motions to approve probationary contracts, extend probationary contracts, and approve one-year term contracts were made by Vice President Caroline H. Bennett and recorded as passing by 7-0 votes.
The Board also approved the Superintendent's recommendation to terminate a probationary contract employee at the end of the 2025–2026 contract term (identified in the minutes as Lashonda Lee); Vice President Bennett moved the termination recommendation and Secretary Walker Agnew Jr. seconded the motion, which passed 7-0. The Board did not take action on a separate recommendation regarding Leah May and did not appoint a hearing officer for proposed nonrenewal hearings. President Mahan reconvened the meeting and stated that "no action was taken while in closed session." The minutes do not record the reasons for the termination recommendation or further personnel details.
