Erie County Commissioners on June 24 received two sealed bids for the 2026 pavement-marking contract and referred them to the County Engineer’s Office for review and recommendation. Deputy Engineer Matt Rogers opened the submissions in public: Griffin Striping bid $76,776.32 and Oglesby Construction bid $72,965.80; the county estimate for the work was $83,000.
The board approved the procedural motion to receive and forward the bids on a motion by Commissioner Old, seconded by Commissioner Shoffner, with a roll-call vote of All Aye. The County Engineer’s Office will now review the bids for responsiveness and cost reasonableness before returning a recommendation to the commissioners.
