Superintendent Scott Harrell briefed the Sudan ISD board on the district’s preliminary financial audit and the Preliminary Cost of Recapture Report at the Oct. 14 meeting. According to the report presented to trustees, the district is projected to pay $0 to the state for the 2024–25 school year; Mr. Harrell cautioned that this projection could change depending on enrollment figures and the district’s Weighted Average Daily Attendance (WADA).
The audit discussion was informational; no board action on the audit or recapture estimate was recorded in the minutes. The board also received financial reports from booster clubs during this portion of the meeting, and trustees asked no recorded questions that altered the presented projections.
