The Sudan Independent School District Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda and a series of routine financial and planning items at a regular meeting on Oct. 14, 2024. President Richard Salazar presided over the session, which began at 6:30 p.m.
The consent agenda comprised prior meeting minutes, the tax collector’s report, a vehicle maintenance report and campus transfer lists. Trustee Ryan Netherland moved to approve the consent agenda; Trustee Clay Carr seconded. The motion carried, 5-0. Superintendent Scott Harrell presented the district financial report; Trustee Clay Carr moved to approve that report and Trustee Joe Ky Shultz seconded; the motion carried, 5-0. The board also adopted the district and campus improvement plans for 2024–25 on a 5-0 vote following a recommendation from district administration.
The board recorded unanimous votes on these routine items, reflecting no recorded dissent. The meeting minutes list trustees Richard Salazar (president), Clay Carr (vice president), Ryan Netherland (secretary), Dustin Provence and Joe Ky Shultz as present; Susan Baker and Ryan Harper were absent.
