Board approves upset-bid process and sales for several county-owned foreclosed parcels

Grady then presented initial offers of $3,000 for 827 Bloomfield Street (Parcel 8007128) and $3,000 for 813 Murray Street (Parcel 80071518) with the clerk and commissioners approving the initial offers by roll call. For 1108 LaGrange Street (Parcel 8014194) Grady reported an initial offer of $3,200 and one upset bid of $4,000 during the upset-bid period and asked for final approval; the board approved the higher upset bid.
Each parcel presentation included parcel ID, offer amount, past-due taxes and a notation that the city of New Bern approved the transactions where applicable. The board approved the recommendations as presented.
