The Stanfield School Board approved enrollment caps for the 2026–27 school year after a short discussion about class-size targets and registration priorities.
Staff described recommended caps — for many grades a maximum of about 45 students per section — and a possible kindergarten cap discussed at 38 students. Staff said transfers may be accepted during registration until sections fill; one staff member explained: "So you we set it at 38 and then work through, like, the registration process." The motion to adopt enrollment caps was moved, seconded and approved by the board.
Board members emphasized that setting caps helps preserve instructional quality and that principals will manage transfer acceptance during the registration window. The approved caps apply for the 2026–27 school year.
