Trustees discussed funding options for a planned landscaping project but had not received updated design documents or a refreshed cost estimate at the July 8 meeting. Director Alison Ames Galstad said the trust & agency account (gifts with no designation) is in good shape but cautioned it should not be treated as a general savings account; separate reserves exist for specific projects.
Galstad said the Library Foundation Board is discussing potential financial support and that project consultant Sherri Proud "doesn’t think it will be less than $400,000." Galstad said she will request updated estimates and materials from Confluence so the trustees can review options and identify appropriate funding sources.
