Director reports circulation up and higher in‑person visits at Coralville Public Library

At the July 8 meeting, Library Director Alison Ames Galstad told trustees that "Overall circulation was up 4%." She said 66% of circulation is physical items, up from the more typical 60%, and that Hotspot, Hoopla and OverDrive usage increased while Kanopy was slightly down.
Galstad said staff have observed heavier in‑building traffic than in prior years and noted the Summer Reading Challenge had strong adult participation: 531 adults registered with 186 completions to date. She did not have full statistics from Children’s Services at the meeting but said children’s programs have been well attended.
