Spurger ISD board reorganizes leadership, names Carroll Hatton president

The Spurger Independent School District Board of Trustees completed its reorganization at a special meeting Nov. 14, 2024, electing Carroll Hatton as board president, Bradley Heim as vice president and Brent Marcum as secretary.
For the president’s seat, Brent Marcum moved that nominations cease; Derrick Gray seconded the motion and the motion was recorded as passed unanimously, after which Carroll Hatton was declared president. Bradley Heim was declared vice president following a motion by Derrick Gray to close nominations and a second by Cheryl Spangler; Brent Marcum was declared secretary after a similar motion and second.
