City Attorney Jim Buzzard read Ordinance 1198 by title on April 13; the ordinance would create rules for acceptance of donations to the City of Winlock and set a $3,000 threshold the mayor may accept without Council approval. He also noted the ordinance does not address donated services.
Councilmembers asked for additional transparency around donations made by elected officials or city employees and for prior notice of any conditions attached to donations; Councilman Jeramy Allman moved to table Ordinance 1198 until the requested clarifications are provided and the motion carried unanimously.
