The board approved public disclosure under AB1200 of tentative collective bargaining agreements reached with AFT Local 1494 and CSCA Chapter 862; staff said the agreements include a 2% raise for bargaining units. As the Superintendent summarized, "this included a 2% raise for all of our bargaining units" (Superintendent, SEG 3882-3887).
The board also approved revised salary schedules that reflect the negotiated increases. Trustees asked clarifying questions about specific language in health and welfare benefits and requested a notation in one agreement to clarify a monthly $400 contribution in the health benefit section; staff agreed to update the language (SEG 3968-3980). The disclosures and salary schedule updates were approved by roll call/voice vote as part of consent items.
