The governing board adopted Resolution No. 25 (2026) to increase school facilities developer fees, following a short public hearing and one public comment from SEAC chair Connie DeGrange. The increase implements the state allocation board's inflation adjustment and applies to new residential construction and qualifying commercial development.
"What this is for is, it's a development fee for when houses or commercial buildings are built. They would be charged a fee, which would go to the school for ongoing construction and maintenance," Connie DeGrange told the board during public comment, noting a recent uptick in very large new‑home applications that could increase fee revenue.
District staff confirmed the resolution applies to residential additions over 500 square feet and different commercial categories. Trustees approved the resolution by voice vote and asked staff to align fee collection with the building permit (rather than waiting for occupancy) where permitted by the district master plan and state rules.
