Sudan ISD board approves routine business, adopts EDGAR manual and OKs vehicle purchase

The Sudan Independent School District Board of Trustees met Sept. 9, 2024, and approved a series of routine and administrative items. President Richard Salazar called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.; the board approved the consent agenda (minutes, tax collector’s report, campus transfer lists, and transportation report) on a motion by Susan Baker, seconded by Ryan Harper. The motion carried 7-0.
Superintendent Scott Harrell presented the financial report, which the board approved on a motion by Clay Carr, seconded by Joe Ky Shultz, also by a 7-0 vote. The board also adopted the district’s 2024–25 EDGAR Manual (motion by Ryan Netherland, seconded by Susan Baker) and approved an array of other items later in the meeting, including curriculum code updates, adjunct faculty authorization for Lamb County 4‑H, and procurement actions detailed elsewhere in board business.
