During its Aug. 19, 2024 budget workshop, the Tarkington ISD board recessed to closed session at 4:33 P.M. President Cory Anderson presided over the recess, which listed personnel matters, real property deliberations, disciplinary matters concerning school children or employees, and consultation with the district attorney as agenda topics under Texas Government Code §§551.071, 551.072, 551.074 and 551.082.
The board reconvened in open session at 4:35 P.M. and reported that "no action taken at this time." The meeting then proceeded to an information item: a budget workshop presentation by Chief Financial Officer Thad Lasater. The session adjourned at 5:30 P.M.
